Rock style
It may seem that there is no point in writing about this style, because we all know the rock style so well. The leather jackets, which have long since made their way into mainstream fashion, the trousers with chains, studs, heavy boots and t-shirts with bands’ slogans. It’s a stereotype that many people can create without much effort. Plus, we also have stores specifically geared towards rockers, so what’s the problem?
And it’s true that everything mentioned is part of the rock style and gives it its typical look. But sometimes it’s good to experiment – after all, rockers are rebels and rebels don’t want to wear the same thing as the models on the runways. Ripped trousers and leather jackets are fine, but what else? It’s good to find your other, secondary style.
A tomboy rocker who replaces the combat boots with sneakers and wears a white shirt under her jacket? The siren who balances on stage in high heels, microphone in hand, wearing a leather miniskirt and red tank top to match her nails? A girly version with a checkered skirt? Find your own self-expression.
Personality
Of course, there are people who embrace the classic uninhibited rock’n’roll lifestyle of alcohol, parties and one-night stands, but it’s not at all necessary for every woman who finds herself in rock’n’roll to be that way. Of course there’s the music, and it would be sad if a female rocker didn’t like rock – but this is true for other styles too, not everyone who plays larp has a fantasy style, and not every rock lover should also dress like it.
So what makes a rocker a rocker? Certainly a big dose of sass. Nothing breaks them easily, oh yeah, they have balls (yes, I’m going to allow harsher language here, anyone who can’t take it should definitely move on to read about another style). They don’t get messed with, they will calmly say what they think and live as they want, and who doesn’t like it can kiss their bum.
They also don’t like to be criticized for their attitude. Should they be more ladylike? Talk like that, act like that, dress like that? And why? Because someone gives a shit? Well, they don’t. They like rough stuff and they can be pretty rough, too. Some of their positive qualities include honesty, determination, courage, loyalty to their buddies and a love of music and freedom. They’re very similar to witchy style wearers in that.
Appearance
As mentioned in the beginning, besides the classics (bands, combat boots, leather jackets, spiked collars), rock also includes corsets, checks, stripes, denim, provocative haircuts and different hair colors, patches, etc. The typical color is black, complemented mainly by red, possibly grey, blue and fir green.
